Biographical/Historical Information

Lane High School is a former public school in Charlottesville that was replaced in 1974 when Charlottesville High School was opened. The building was sold to Albemarle County which now uses it as its main administration building.

Scope and Content

Collection includes 9 report cards from Charlottesville City High School; Charlottesville City Elementary School; Staunton Elementary School. 11 Photographs are from the 1933 Lane High School Boys Glee Club; Cast Members of Lane High School Plays: 1933 The Florist's Shop; 1934 The Pirates of Penzance; 1932 Witches Hour and Candle Light; and Betty Lou; 1930-31 Lane High School Players Club. Additional photographs feature a military band; military school buildings; and cadets in uniform.
