Elizabeth T. Hooe Fauntleroy Bernard was born 9 October 1774. Married to a man named Fauntleroy, she remarried after his death to William Bernard (1770-1841), a prominent landowner in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Bernard died 20 November 1870.
Will, dated 31 March 1863, of Elizabeth T. Bernard (1774-1870) of Hanover County, Virginia. In it, she directs part of her estate go to pay for emancipating some slaves in whom she had a life interest. A note on the will states that this will was revoked by a later one, written 1 October 1865. A later will is recorded in Fredericksburg Will Book H, p. 70.
