Consists of a list of all free negroes and mulattoes in the northern district of Scott County on June 1, 1832, with name, gender, place of abode, and trade, occupation, or calling. Listed are Edward Grills of Rye Cove; William Grunway, of Purchase; Samuel Pitman, of Copper Ridge; Robert Pitman, of Clinch River; Peggy Barney, of Rye Cove; and Nancy Barney, of Rye Cove.
