Abstract
Miscellaneous documents and photographs related to the West Virginia mine labor battles in Logan and Mingo counties between 1919 and 1924. Includes signed affadavits of H.G. Whitlock, Link Blankenship, J.E. Wilburn, and Walter Jones from May 1924. Photocopies of photographs depict Sid Hatfield; the defendants of the Matewan Massacre; Edward Chambers; Mr. and Mrs. Mooney with John L. Lewis; and Mrs. Chambers, Mrs. Mooney, and Mrs. Hatfield in the early 1920s. Also includes an anonymous note passed from one Moundsville prisoner to another related to the mine wars.
