Custodial History

The class history in this collection was written by Rebecca Sue Wilburn and was later donated to the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations by Mary Lou Sommardahl, a member of the class of 1963. It is unknown when the collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.


Biographical / Historical

The Class of 1963 consisted of 189 students. Their class historian, Rebecca Sue Wilburn of Ripplemead, Virginia, wrote this class history and distributed it to her classmates. In addition to serving as class historian, Wilburn was editor of The Colonnade (student literary magazine) and was a member of Beorc Eh Thorn, Pi Delta Epsilon, Pi Gamma Mu, and the Spanish Club.
