Biographical / Historical

Linda Kay Dexter of Virginia Beach, Virginia graduated from [then] Longwood College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While a student at Longwood, Dexter was involved with both CAHOOTS and the Longwood Players. After graduation in 1971, Dexter married Dixie Morris Dexter, Jr. Linda Dexter Griffin worked in education for 42 years in both public schools and post-secondary. For the last 28 years of her career she served as both Director of Counseling and Dean of Student Development at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. Upon retirement, Louisiana Tech University honored her by naming her Dean Emerita of Student Development.

Scope and Contents

This collection, which dates from 1967 to 1971, includes memorabilia and ephemera collected by Linda Kay Dexter during her time as a student at Longwood College.
