Content Description

This item is a U.S. Air Force Pilots Training Manual during World War I. It is printed on matte finish photographic paper, with each page mounted to leaves and secured by ribbon. Includes graphs, charts, tables, and arial photographs related to German aircraft and their speeds, altitudes, and aerial views.

Views include "Cheminot Lake," Verny and wire entanglements, Pournoy dugouts, E. of Norroy maching gun nest, Champey anti-aircraft battery emplacements, Pommerieux dugouts, destruction of Merville (while occupied by Boche), Nomeny, Mardigny, Clemery, Liehon, Mailly Lake, Farm de Belair (Bois Frehaut), Airdrome at Ourches (taken before St. Mihiel drive), Prison camp at Pagny sur Meuse (after St. Mihiel offensive), German airdrome on Western Front, Pont a Mousson, Raucort, and French fort E. of Aire.

There are photographs of a Junker (armoured) two seater, Hannover Fighter, AEG Bomber, Fokker Triplane and Biplane Scout, Halberstadt Fighter, Gotha Bomber, Rumpler Biplace, D. F. W. 2 Seater, and Pfalz Scout.
