Biographical Note

Henry C. Wysor, or "H. C. Wysor" (1847-1927) was a resident of Washington County, Virginia, and later Dublin, Pulaski County, Virginia. He was a member of the Confederate Army in the 45th and 54th Infantry. He worked as a life insurance agent for the New York Life Insurance Company in southwestern Virginia. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Shipp Wysor (1846-1922) and their children included Mary, Cora, Rufus, Davis, William, and Henry.

Samuel D. Jones (born 1856) was a resident of Glade Spring, Virginia. He married Bettie Harrison on October 10, 1883. His occupation is listed as a lawyer, and in 1893, he was the principal of the Southwest Virginia Institute for Young Ladies.
