Abstract
Bulletins, newsletters, and correspondence of the West Virginia Association of College English Teachers. An organization whose
purpose is to facilitate communication between its membership keeping them informed of teaching and publication activities
of fellow members. There are also conference presentations which are mainly drafts of upcoming articles for publication. Prominent
among these is "Trousered Apes" by Duncan Williams of Marshall University. This essay, later published as a book, brought
international renown in literary circles to this Oxford educated native of Wales, and it is probably the most significant
work of literary criticism written in West Virginia.
