Morgantown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors' Meeting Book contains: agendas and minutes for the Chamber's Board of Directors, Nov. 20, 1961- June 18, 1961; Chamber's financial statement, Nov. 30, 1961- May 31, 1962; also agendas and minutes of regular and special meetings of Board of Trustees, Morgantown Community Association with record of agreement and purchase of the M. O. W. for association by J. W. Ruby's President of Sterling Faucet Company, statements of Associations' assets and liabilities; proposed revision of Chamber's by-laws; memorandum of responsibility, trustees of the Association, January 24, 1956; Associations by-laws; first progress report, Morgantown Downtown Action Council. One Folder of records relating to executive Board, Mountaineer area, Boy Scouts of America, 1964-1965. Miller was chairman of the Mountaineer area Council Nominating Committee. Material on International Voluntary service, Inc. of which Dr. Miller was a member of the Board of Directors, 1964-1967. Includes confidential report by A. W. Kruger Jr. a worker for IVS Executive Committee Meeting, Dec. 17, 1964. Letter to Miller from the Atlantic Council of the U. S. asking for donation. Also 2 pamphlets concerning the Atlantic Council (1966) One copy of the survey schedules prepared for the North Central Association Review Visit, April 13, 1964. reports, Memoranda, agenda for the meetings on March 10, 1965 and November 20m 1965 of the Center for the Study of Liberal Education for Adults. Miller was chairman of the board of directors for the Center. Xerox copy of proposal from West Virginia University to the United States Department of Commerce to Establish a pilot Industrial Extension Program for West Virginia University. Submitted by Paul A. Miller, and Charles T. Holland, Director, Mining and Industrial Extension, WVU. One box of correspondence, reports, minutes, memorandums, drafts of speeches, agendas and studies relating to the Committee of the Professional School and World Affairs. Dr. Miller was a member of the study committee and worked with the Education and World affairs group while president of WVU. The material covers the period 1965 to 1966. References appear to the Ford Foundation and its role in international research. Addendum 1971 Apr. 8: This collection consists of the collected speeches of Paul A. Miller, President of WVU 1962-1966. The speeches are from the period 1962-66 and cover a broad range of topics.
