Abstract
Okey Meadows wrote this history, entitled "Black Diamonds", which covers coal mining from ancient times to the present, describes
cannel coal and its uses, and includes a prospectus for the Licking River Commerce Company of Kentucky. Other subjects dealt
with are economic conditions of the early 1930s and the geology of oil shales.
