Scope and Contents
Diary of Clark M. Wheeler, Jr. of Cambridgeport, Massachusetts for the year 1873. In brief daily entries, Clark Wheeler recorded weather, work routines, chores, home life and social activities, like going to clubs. Also includes monthly cash accounts and lists two of his employers in Boston. Wheeler seems to have worked as a shop assistant in Boston, while living with his parents in Cambridgeport. Toward the end of the year he was discharged and started working for Whitten, Burdett and Young, a wholesale manufacturer of clothing.
