Letter from Ross and Gray, military agents, to Lt. Henry Goldsmith, Bristol, England, Mar. 21, 1776 advising Goldsmith of his pending departure to North America. His commission, signed by George Germain, was enclosed with the letter. Goldsmith was commissioned Lieutenant with the 54th Regiment on Foot.
