Richard Meeks was born in 1688 but where has yet to be determined. He married Anne Meeks in 1707 and worked, at least for a time, as the general overseer of John Lloyd's plantation in Richmond County. The couple had several children including Anne Meeks Sisson, Elizabeth Meeks Walker, Richard Meeks, and Mary Meeks McIndre.
Portion of a will, 29 January 1729, of Richard Meeks (1688-1729) of Richmond County, Virginia. The entire will is located in Richmond County Will Book 5, page 152. Grantees include his children and his wife Anne (d. 1761). The document also contains the names of slaves who were bequeathed to relatives of Richard Meeks. The will was proven on 4 March 1729.
