Sallie E. Shepherd (1820-1904) was the daughter of John Noble (1785-1855) and Frances Fleming Payne Noble (1787-1855) of Danville,
Virginia. She married William E. Shepherd (d. 1876). They are both buried in
the Old Grove Street Cemetery in Danville.
