Montgomery County was formed in 1776 from Fincastle County. Part of Botetourt County was added in 1789 and part of Pulaski County was added in 1842.
Fincastle County (Va.) Summons of Adam Stearner, 1773. Consists of an order to the sheriff of Fincastle County to summon Adam Stearner to appear before the court to answer the petition of William Stroud in the case, Stroud vs. Stearner.
