Historical Information

Bedford County was formed in 1753 from Lunenburg County. Part of Albemarle was added in 1754 and part of Lunenburg was added later.

Scope and Content

Bedford County (Va.) Deed, Heath to Todd, 1761. The deed documents the transfer of 400 acres on a branch of Twining Creek from William Heath to William Todd for 40 pounds.
