Scope and Content

The Thomas M. Rowlett and Sons Ledger, 1871, contains an index and ledger account book.

The index lists customers alphabetically. A note for certain customers indicates what business or location the customer was associated with.

A few ledger entries are included at the back of the volume. The entries document the purchases of individual customers in chronological order and includes the amount owed and paid for purchases. Customers purchased goods such as hogs, eggs, chickens, and butter.
