Unidentified Flour Mill Journal, 1838-1839, documents the financial activities of the Lynchburg mill. Entries are arranged chronologically as they occurred and record both business expenses and customer purchases. Transactions for customer purchases include the date, quantity of flour or meal purchased, cost per bushel, and amounts paid. Business expenses were also recorded and include such items as repairs to the mill and the purchases of equipment and provisions.
