Henry County was named for Patrick Henry, revolutionary leader and the first governor of the commonwealth of Virginia. It was formed from Pittsylvania County in 1776.

Scope and Content

Henry County (Va.) Bond of Joseph French to Charles Fodrill, 1804 Dec. 6, was taken out as a result of an attachment by Fodrill on two horses of French's due to a debt.
