Lenwood Glisson Clark was born in Newport News, Virginia on 27 June 1938. He was the son of Lenwood Vernon Clark (1913-1996)
and Catherine Elizabeth Brady (1917-2005). Clark graduated from Virginia Tech with a masters degree in engineering mechanics.
He was chief engineer of the Space Projects Office at NASA Langley Research Center for 42 years. Clark married Pamela Ann
Morris (b. 1937) in Salisbury, North Carolina on 21 January 1962. He died in Poquoson, Virginia on 4 March 1999, and is buried
in Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News.
