Transferred at an unknown date.

Correspondence, 1932 January-February, gathered by B.G. Brown regarding the parole of Linwood H. Bottom and sent to the Virginia Secretary of the Commonwealth. Linwood Bottom had been convicted of murdering Howard D. Brown, an ex-State Prohibition Agent, on 23 December 1924 in Richmond, Virginia, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. In December 1931 Governor John G. Pollard released Linwood Bottom on parole, which caused widespread protest in Virginia. B.G. Brown, the brother of Howard D. Brown, gathered letters and petitions to protest against the parole of Linwood Bottom and sent them to Governor John G. Pollard. On 25 November 1932 Bottom was reincarcerated after threatening to kill a woman in Chesterfield County, Virginia, and sent back to prison to serve his remaining years.
