Biographical Information

Elizabeth Cureton Rives (1799-1885) was the daughter of Briggs Rives and Anne Cureton Rives. She married Hartwell Peebles Heath (1794-1837) of Petersburg, Virginia, and they had nine children, including Anna Rives Heath (1835-1888). Anna Rives Heath married Daniel William Lassiter (1827-1903) on 8 February 1865. They had five children, including Anna Heath Lassiter (1875-1972). John Langbourne Williams (1831-1915) married Maria Ward Skelton (1843-1929) on 13 October 1865, and they had nine children, including Ennion Gifford Williams (1874-1931). Anna Heath Lassiter married Ennion Gifford Williams 21 October 1902, and they had eight children, including Elizabeth Rives Williams (1916-2018).

Scope and Content

Papers, 1841-2020, of the Rives, Heath, and Lassiter families of Petersburg, Virginia, and the Williams family of Richmond, Virginia, consisting of articles, books, correspondence, diaries, genealogies, photographs, stories, and other papers detailing the lives and genealogies of these families' members.
