H. C. Pankey (1858-1908) was a Harrisonburg businessman who manufactured and delivered ice and also ran a livery stable on W. Water St.
Assorted bound volumes detailing the financials of H. C. Pankey's ice manufacturing and delivery business in Harrisonburg. Volumes include daily and weekly accounts of sales made to private individuals and businesses as well as money paid and received. The 1896-1898 account book includes customers with "Col" after their name perhaps indicating an African American customer.
