This collection contains correspondence, stationary, a photograph, and a copy of the Philip Vance Murder Cases from Y. Billy Garden, the secretary to detective novelist S.S. Van Dine, pseudonym of Williard Huntington Wright.
The correspondence is between Garden to Evelyn Phaup, a collector of Wright, from Richmond, Virginia. The correspondence includes impressions of S.S. Dine from Garden and offerings of some of his mementos.
The photograph of Van Dine is signed to Garden. There is blank stationary of Van Dine with an illustration of a scotch terrier.
Also included is a "dummy" copy of the Philip Vance Murder Cases that Garden sent with a letter that states "I myself do not have a copy...but I do have a bound dummy of all the extraneous material of that volume. The binding is exactly like the volume itself."
Includes Sporran Kennels stationery. Wright was owner of the kennel.
