Scope and Contents

The Ernest Hemingway letter (1935; 0.03 cubic feet) consists of a typed letter from Hemingway to Arnold Gringrich, the editor of Esquire. Hemingway asks about selling the serial rights of Green Hills of Africa so that Max Perkins can serialize the book. He also mentions John Dos Passos, Luis Quintanilla, Pauline, Dick Armstrong's wife, and Alfred Knopf, Jr.
