Scope and Contents

Harris Family papers, 1869-1957, includes deeds, receipts for Scottsville Merchandise Store, letters, newspaper clippings, architectural drawings, mason appointment as Grand Master, and photographs totaling 0.012 cubic feet.

Included are a carte de Viste of Charles B. Harris Sr., (December 1869) a tin type (1865), albumen silver print of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Harris, Sr., 1 newspaper clipping about Helen Crafton Harris's ninetieth birthday (1947), renovation drawings of Charles B. Harris house, documents from Scottsville and Charlottesvile businesses, deeds from Albemarle County Circuit Court transactions, letters from Mrs. James McFarland to her brother Henry M. Harris, and photographs of Harris and(Avent family members)
