Acquisition Information

The collection was a gift of Mr. Hester to the department in July of 1990.

Biographical/Historical Information

Professor at VCU for thirty years. Mr. Hester retired in 1991.

Scope and Contents

This collection is primarily correspondence from Windsor Castle and the British Museum to Robert F. Hester concerning materials for his thesis; 12 items; 1961-1962 and one letter from Mrs. Jessie Hibbs (1977).

Arrangement

The collection is arranged as it was donated by Mr. Hester.
