Lieutenant General William T. Clement (1894-1955. United States Marine Corps; VMI Class of 1914; served in Pacific Theater during World War II, including Philippines, Bataan Corregidor, Okinawa.
Interview with BG William T. Clement by war correspondence Larry Tighe, produced for radio news broadcast distribution. The transmission originated from a ship off the coast of Japan, and concerns the activities of the 6th Marine Division, 4th Marines, during the early days of the occupation of Japan following the surrender.
The original is known as transcription disc and is a special phonograph record intended for, or recorded from, a radio broadcast. Sometimes called a broadcast transcription or radio transcription or nicknamed a platter, it is also sometimes referred to as an electrical transcription, usually abbreviated to E.T. among radio professionals.
