Derek Stanford (1918-2008) was a British author, biographer, poet, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
The collection includes a typescript copy of a short book, The Pylon Poets (Michigan: William B. Eerdmans), by Derek Stanford about the poets W. H. Auden, Stephen Spender, Cecil Day-Lewis, and Louis MacNeice. The copy has passages which did not appear in the final version of the book, and two short epilogues of which one was discarded for the book. Also included is a handwritten explanation of the copy by Stanford.
