The processing, arrangement, and description of the Mrs. W. D. Lake Handwritten Recipe Book was completed in September 2022.
This collection includes a handwritten recipe book from around 1910. There are names and addresses written on the inside of the front cover. The title page says, "Cookbook ... Mrs W. D. Lake, 4619 Magnolia Ave, Chicago, Illinois." The first page includes a list of types of recipes with a page number next to them. The list includes bread & rolls, cake & cookies, pies & puddings - desserts, salads - preserves - etc, pickles - sauces, candy, meats, vegetables, and more.
