This collection contains the official price current of the Washington City Produce Exchange from November 1884. The document lists market activity for products such as flour, grain, butter, eggs, fruits, and livestock, as well as prices for a variety of goods and groceries. The listed goods include butter, flour, grain, mill feed, hay and straw, eggs, cheese, poultry and game, green fruits, dried fruits and nuts, vegetables, live stock, fresh and cured meats, lumber, furs, wool, and hides, and sundries. the listed groceries include coffee, sugars, fish, molasses, teas, and tobacco and cigars. The collection also includes an envelope from Callaghan & Chandler, General Commission Merchants and Dealers in Feed, addressed to a Mr. L.H. Mitchell with Washington, D.C. postage.
