Born in Roanoke, Virginia, in 1973, Tiffany Trent is an author of science fiction, fantasy, and nonfiction. Her first series,
Hallowmere , was a magical tribute to her interest in American Civil War history and Victoriana, as well as the folklore of both the
American South and Britain. Trent received a master's degree in English from Virginia Tech in 1997 and two master's degrees
from the University of Montana in 1999 and 2002. Trent has also taught at Virginia Tech and Southern New Hampshire University.
This collection contains materials from author Tiffany Trent, including unpublished manuscripts, drafts, personal papers,
and correspondence from 1996-2018. The collection is primarily made up of drafts and working documents for Trent's The Unnaturalists duology and Hallowmere series, but there are also research materials, shorter works, early publications, and writing workshop documents.
This collection is arranged in folders by material type and topic. For the most part, the author's original order was maintained,
though larger drafts and documents were broken up into multiple folders.
