This collection contains two letters written to Naomi John durning the American Civil War. The first was written October 27, 1861, by Jinnie. The letter includes updates on the war, deaths, and a church sermon. The second letter was written January 1, 1862. The letter contains updates about sickness at Camp Chase, locals who have died or been captured, and a wedding. Partial transcripts are included.
