The collection contains a music book, two recipe books, and a concert program. The music book was made in the 1930s and is poor condition, missing the front and back cover. The book contains songs about the American Civil War, nursery rhymes, and national songs of various countries. There are two recipe books made in 1952 and 1956, by Virginia Tech for the holiday season. They include menus for Christmas dinner and parties. The program is from a performace of "Music and Memories of the Civil War: A Living Legacy," which was put on by Virginia Tech on February 18, 2007. The program has a list of the songs performed, as well as the staff and students performing.
