This collection was acquired by the Special Collections and University Archive prior to 2015.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the Virginia Tech Banner was completed in June 2025.
The banner is white with three large grommet holes along the top and bottom for hanging purposes. In the top right and left corners of the banner are two different versions of the Virginia Tech logo in orange and maroon. In the middle of the banner is a "VPI" logo with a fightin' gobbler head and the text "FIGHTIN' GOBBLER" below it. On either side of the "VPI" logo are different versions of the Hokie Bird. On the back top left corner of the banner is a label that reads "SIGN WORKS 428-2525" The condition of the banner is fair, it has stains and some discoloration.
