This collection was acquired by the Special Collections and University Archive prior to 2025.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the Fighting Gobbler Needlepoint Canvas Patterns was completed in June 2025.
This collection includes two needlepoint canvas's with hand drawn Gobbler bird designs in orange and maroon. On one canvas above the Gobbler it reads "VPI." Printed on the tape border it reads "E.B. Orginals." On the other canvas it reads "VA. TECH." above the bird and "The Fighting Gobbler" below the bird. The text on both are written in orange and maroon. Both are in good condition, tape is lose on the "VPI" canvas.
Both canvas's are templates for needlepoint, neither have been used.
