Claud Baxter Bush graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1914. He was captain of the Gymnasium team and was a descendant of Washington College president George A. Baxter.
This collection consists of items collected by Claud Baxter Bush while a student at Washington and Lee University. It includes a photograph of Bush dressed in his WLU gymnasium team uniform, a photograph of Doremus gymnasium, a program from the Interscholastic Track and Field Games (April 26, 1913) and an accompanying Inspector ribbon, and a WLU Athletic Council certificate certifying Bush was awarded a monogram as a member of the Gymnasium Team for Season of 1912. The ribbon is ripped and extremely fragile.
