Gift of Parke Rouse, Jr
Parke Shepherd Rouse, Jr. was born in 1915 in Smithfield, Virginia. He was a journalist, writer, and historian. He died in Williamsburg, Virginia on March 6, 1997.
This collection contains a typed manuscript copy of Parke Rouse's book "The Great Wagon Road from Philadelphia to the South" that was received by book editor Robert Stewart in 1972. The copy includes Stewart's editorial notes.
