Reports that $6000.00 will be added to his account to enable him to continue making repairs at Old Fort Highwassee, adequate enough to withstand "any disaffected party of Indians," as well as to construct new buildings; requests also that he send back to his office the precise position of the fort, stating relative distances, best routes of communication and transportation, availability of supplies, and topography of the surrounding country.
