Walter Jones to the Governor of Virginia [?William H. Cabell] recommending  his friend, [?] Taylor to be appointed to the command of a regiment of dragoons, a position vacated by Larkin Smith.  November 23, 1807.  Includes a newspaper clipping with biographical information on Walter Jones.
