Material from at least three Garden Club exhibits given in conjunction with Swem Library, The College of Wiliam and Mary. "An Exhibit of Gardening Books" (1949) exhibit which includes a placard, index cards for books at Swem Library that relate to gardening, report on "Books on Gardens and Gardening, a Selected List" held at William and Mary's library, prepared by Sarah P. Stetson in April 1948 and notes, with an inventory, about the exhibit. "The History of Gardening from the Late 16th Century to Modern Times" and "The Hetty Cary Harrison Memorial Exhibit" exhibits which include title label, 19th century garden labels, title page of "The works of Hannah More," bookplates for "Hetty Cary Harrison Memorial Collection, " original print (bookplate?) of the "Georgia Female College from Grahams Magazine" (1844) and bookplates of flowers and garden scenes (probably removed from books). Possibly from the 18th Century Garden Symposium held in 1948. Pamphlets for the 1964 Williamsburg Garden Symposium, index cards for additional books (created circa 1960). Newspaper clippings on roses (1954), Garden Week with tours of Bassett Hall and Ludwell-Paradise House (1961) and Garden Week plans (1964). Correspondence between Herbert Ganter of Swem Library, the College of William and Mary and Mrs. James Bland Martin, Publicity Director of The Garden Club of Virginia (1954), Dorothy Cappon (1958) and Peg Smith, Co-Chair of the Williamsburg Garden Club (1961).
