This collection was donated to the Special Collections Research Center by Vivian Jones-Schmidt.
This collection consists of materials created and collected by Vivian Jones Schmidt (Class of 1972) during her time at William & Mary. Materials include: color photographic slides; textiles, including a Freshman duc cap, a cloth "zodiac bag," a white t-shirt with black lettering reading "Mary & William," and a white buttoned shirt painted to advertise the Backdrop Club musical "Sellout;" newspaper clippings; choir diagrams and ephemera; and student activism ephemera including a black fabric armband worn by Jones-Schmidt during the student moratorium honoring the Kent State shootings. Collection also includes a William & Mary woman's gym skirt, two boxes of slides, 4 tickets (2 Sinfonicron, 2 unspecified William & Mary Theatre shows), 2 reel-to reel-tapes of William & Mary choir concerts and digital files of William & Mary choir concerts.
Vivian Jones Schmidt also donated a copy of the two-volume 1971 Colonial Echo, which was separated and shelved in the Brown Boardroom.
