The scrapbook, created by Martha Ellen Cowardin of Richmond, Virgnina documents student life at William & Mary during the late 1940s. Cowardin began her studies at William & Mary in 1947 before leaving the university due to homesickness for Richmond, Virginia in 1949. After leaving William & Mary, Martha became a secretary. The scrapbook includes photographs, ephemera, and preserved corsages.
