"Jennie" was a woman living in Norfolk, Virginia. According to her correspondence, she has a husband who she reunites with after travelling to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the United States Civil War.
This letter was sent by a woman named "Jennie" to an unidentified person on January 8, 1864, from Union-controlled Norfolk, Virginia.
