Abstract
Newspaper carrier's address (13.5 in. x 26 in.) for the city of Charles Town, Jefferson County issued during Christmas and
New Year, 1900-1901, featuring advertising for many Charlestown businesses, as well as a poem titled "Uncle Zeke Tells How
the Christmas Greeting was Written and Lost". Carriers' addresses were printed pieces, usually broadsides, that carriers of
newspapers distributed on New Year's Day to extend greetings, usually in the form of verse, to their customers and to solicit
a gift in reward for the dependable delivery of newspapers during the previous year.
