Abstract
Introductory speech delivered by R. Terry Butcher on 19 May 2012 regarding the accomplishments of Dr. Leland Eugene Byrd as an athlete, college and university athletics administrator, and as a member of various boards and committees of the NCAA. The speech was delivered on occasion of Leland's induction into the Glenville State College Curtis Elam Athletic Hall of Fame.
