Abstract
Poll book from the October 1864 election used to record the votes of Union soldiers currently in military service. This poll
book was used by Company I, 84th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, stationed at Fort Bross near Petersburg, Virginia.
The name of a "Captain Ross" belonging to this unit is written on the front cover of the poll book; this is likely John R.
Ross.
