Abstract
This pamphlet traces the ancestry of three families: Wells, Evans, and Masters. Marriages, births, wills, land appraisals, and an estate settlement are entered. The will of Zorobabo Wells of Talbot County, Maryland, was executed in 1696. Sketches are found in the lives of he and his wife Catherine; their children Richard, Humphrey, and Zorobabol wells; and the later generations. Evan of Slanvareth, Northern Wales, came to P.A. in 1682. Evan of Evan, a Welshman, came to what is now Valley Forge in 1686. his grandson, John Evans, helped to form Monongalia County. Benjamin Masters came from Scotland after the American Revolution and married three times. His will was executed in Marion County , Ohio. His brother Richard Masters came to New Jersey in 1799.
