Collection of photocopies of papers relating to Dr. Presley B. Ogden and family of Fairmont and their home located at 500 Ogden Avenue, Fairmont, WV. Includes photocopies of letters between Ogden family members (especially Herschel C. Ogden, later the owner of the Wheeling Intelligencer newspaper), receipts for druggists and other retailers, and copies of deeds. Also included are materials gathered by Terry Burton, a later owner of the home, in an effort to research the building's history. These items include a newspaper article requesting information on the house, a letter from a woman who used to know the Ogdens, photographs of the house taken in 1921 and 1993, and an Ogden family genealogy. This collection is minimally processed.
